Don't Count Me Out Yet

Go to website to have more of these great quotes
most of the beginning of this entry is on sport. You can skip all this sport talk and start reading from the big red and all caps "ENOUGH" still take time to read what has happened in sports anyway.
So is another superbowl coming up, fans are excited, everybody is expecting to see an amazing show. However, weeks ago that wasn't the story, in fact New York fans lost hope of any playoff. To make matters worse both teams the Jets and the Giants who were looking for a spot in the playoff had to face each other obviously destroying the other team's chances of playoff. The NY Giants were struggling most of the season, sometimes they would win games, they would stump the opponent or get stumped. Well the Giants won that game. In their division they had the Philadelphia Eagles who were playing a very hot football in the past few weeks (four wins in a row). The last thing the Giants wanted was face the Eagles on a extended season game. They had to win the next game against the Dallas Cowboys which they did eliminating any hopes for the Eagles.
They were counted out, in fact the coach's job was in jeopardy. Yet they are in the playoffs. On January 22 the no so favorite to win Giants (9-8) faced the San Francisco 49ers (13-4) surprisingly the game was a battle, going to a ridiculously low score 17-17 after the fourth quarter. Giants won on overtime 20-17. It was a shocker, the team everybody counted out took out one of the hottest team in the National Conference. Some fans probably don't believe this happened. But happened.
Ironically San Francisco also have a great sport story to talk about. To add more to the irony that team used to be called New York Giants too. Yes I talk about 2010 World Series Champions San Francisco Giants. When you have two teams like the Philadephia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves playing in the same division where clearly one of the two will have to take the division and the other fight a wild card spot, winning 90 games that season would not be enough to go to the playoff. The Giants found themselves in a fierce battle with Adrian Gonzales and the San Diego Padres for that playoff spot until the final game of the season. Ironically they faced each other. The Giants needed just one win to clinch the playoffs. However they lost their first two games against San Diego, they got it right on the third game and that was game number 162 of the season. They were the last team to classify for a playoff spot. They barely made it but they fought to the end. On the other side the Yankees would not face the Red Sox (89-73) they have a new nemesis TB Devil Rays who won 96 games Yanks took the wild card with 95. Minesota Twins (95 wins), Texas Rangers (90 wins), Yankees and the Rays would represent the American league that season. Yankees took care of the Twins, the Rangers took down the Devil Rays and the Rangers well they disrespected the Yankees in their own stadium to the point that nearly 90% of the "fans" left the stadium. Philadelphia Phillies the hottest team in the National league to the day (2012) was also the winningest team in the major leagues baseball they took home 97 wins, Atlanta Braves 91, Cincinati Reds 91 and Giants 92. This is how it went down. Philadelphia swept the Reds out of the playoff, Giants took care of the Braves to face the Phillies on a 7 games series they took the National leagues championship on 6 games. Texas who defeated the Yankees with "this is to hurt you deep" scores was the favorite to take the championship. The Giants didn't have that many big name players Tim Lincecum and closer Brian Wilson were perhaps the biggest name on that team at the time. Rangers had Nelson Cruz, Cliff Lee, rookie closer Neftali Feliz, Josh Hamilton, Mike Young, Ian Kinsler, Vlad Guerrero. This team was danger from the distance. For some unknown reasons they just couldn't stop the Giants, they got back all the insults they gave to the Yankees with one game in  particular ending 9-0 Giants. They barely made it to the playoff, yet they won the championship. Another story is that of Edgar Renterias  a pretty good short stop for many years. The 34 years old had lost much of the skills that made him a good to watch player. He was limited to 72 of 162 games. Ending with AVG 276 3HR 22RBI 332OBP. However in the World Series he hit 412 in 5 games 2HR 6RBI including two game winning hits including a 3 run homeruns the only runs of the team  making him just the 4th player to have two series winning hits in the history of MLB. The others are Yogi Berra, Lou Gehrig and Joe Dimaggio.
Boston Red Sox have their own story too in fact this one go down to history books, they did something that is hard to repeat. 2004 the wild card Red Sox faced the Yankees for the American League championship. Boston who lost the previous year, same series, same team lost game one (10-7), game 2  (3-1) game 3 (19-8). Everything was set for the Yankees to take the series. In fact on game four with one run lead they brought in their closer Mariano Rivera who allowed a tie, then a relief pitcher in allowed a walk off homerun in extra innings (12 innings) to David Ortiz. This followed a marathon (14 innings) game 5, then they struck hard on game 6. They were the only 0-3 team to reach game 6 but became the only team out of 26 to force a game 7. They went on to kill the Yankees on their own house with score 10-5. They scored 2 in the first, 4 in the second. They went on to sweep Albert Pujols' St Louis Cardinals also becoming the first team to have a 8 wins streak in the same postseason. They won their first World Series since 1918

ENOUGH NUMBERS. I  used sports because is something that you can read, something you can see a difference was made. I was having this conversation with Jenn the other night, yes we have some strange conversations. We were talking randomly and ended up talkign about how some people are invincible when things are going well. I pointed out that some people who get to that "invincible status" are not usually the ones who achieve it. For example in sports I have noticed that in most cases the ones who play harder are not exactly the stars. Some stars do play hard all game long don't get me wrong. But a big majority of them get too much credit for just putting a game out of reach. Sure the boss makes a lot of money. But who is the one who have to sort his/her mail? write his her reports, call clients, etc. They pay other people to do that work for them, to facilitate the work to him/her. But then we have to look at how much they had to do to get to that position. No position is just earned. You have to go through a lot of work and drama in order to reach it. How you reach it? by refusing to fall.
The Boston Red Sox of 2004 saw themselves about to be sent home every night after game 3 of the American League championship, in fact they were down on the 8th inning of game 4. But they never let down. This my friend this is what make the difference between being an embarrasing loss or a glorious win. I believe I made a reference about this in an early entry I think had to do with giving up. But there was a quote there talking about how some people are faced with adversity and let themselve go on a free fall. Others are faced with adversity and act like a bouncing ball. They get up fast and stronger than ever. Look at the Boston Red Sox of 2004. Everything was going terrible for them, but they didn't want to see the Yankees celebrating on their stadium. Mariano Rivera is a great closer, one of my favorite players for his demeanor and how serious he works. They stood up to him and made him blow a save. That was the last time the Yankees held the lead the entire season. They got fired up and just swept through the next team. Any team reaching post-season is a good team, specially that one reaching the world series. Yet they made it look easy because when you work hard, things are going your way, the day looks like a walk in the park. "Victor I work hard and I'm tired I don't see results? are you working hard or hardly working? let me tell you, complaining will not help your cause but drain energy away not letting you see what you are achieving. Keep on the hard work, nobody assured that results will be instantly and if someone assure instant results, there has to be something wrong.
It's tough to be against the wall, but you have to understand that this is when you have to show what you are made of, this is when you have to make things happen, this is when you have to prove yourself. If you can succeed in adversity, you surely will succeed everyday after when things are good. I know of a man by the name Jim Myers who can't feel any comfortable if he's not in an uncomfortable situation. I saw him speak one day, he has a very successful business netting him 2.3+ millions a year. Business runs itself he has couple of people making a million and a few more getting close to a million. Yet when I last saw him speaking he was thinking of restarting the business, forget this one, that monster has a life of it own, how about starting all over again and see if he can do the same. Crazy? yeah maybe, but if he succeeds he would be crazy rich well double of what he is.
I am one who thinks that when things are going too smooth, there have to be something wrong somewhere. I know that life will always give me a slap in the face, there's always going to be some difficulty somewhere. You have to be prepared for the difficulties because they are going to be there. If you are expecting everything to be easy, you chose the wrong program (life).
Even when everything seems to be a lost cause you still have to give it your all. Let's take a look at sports for example. How many baseball games have been won in a comeback on the last inning, walk-off hits? How many basketball games have been won on a final shot? I bet you can't count them, is far too many. Because the game is not over until one side give away just make sure you are not the side giving away. You can't expect to win if you are thinking of defeat. If you think you are not going to win, that's the first step to losing, you have programmed yourself to lose.

I will be back pretty soon

Education, what you say you have or what people see you have?

Yes I know, this happened a week ago. Hey still hot!! damn Gay marriage legislation here in New York is the new trend. Anyway when this happened I was working on my past Entry "inside or outside what's the real matter that counts" thanks for your overwhelming support on that entry. Well I have to admit I pushed the envelope a little promoting this entry. Hard to believe in a single day in less than 4 hour you guys visited that entry 23 times. Taking down the all the ones that were all time leader. Well at least they still show in the lower part of this blog.
Well, I hardly post in between, this is supposed to be one week, then one week rest and then publish again. But bear with me with this brand new entry I couldn't let this one go by.
Education is always a big issue for families, they want their kid to attend the best schools, they want their kids to be professionals, they want their kids to be an example to follow. Every parent want that. I bet you want that. Even if you don't have kids yet I bet you want the best for them when you have them, if that's what you want, continue going to school (if you are a student) and make yourself an example to follow. As a parent I bet you are checking your kid's activities on the computer if your children left this open, let me tell you that  your son/daughter is plugged to the worst blog in the world pass this around to your neighbors. But seriously I believe you want the best for your children.
However there's one thing we miss. Lately parents are becoming lazy, they drop kid after kid, so many that they can't even handle. I believe there's a limit for everybody. My grandma Cristina had 11 all of them really good people well educated. But there are people that bring three maybe four and half of them are a disaster, they don't educate them properly hoping school will give them the education they need. Well I got news for you, school is full of parents just like you teaching (not taking nothing away from good teachers including my own who might be reading this right now) I got news for you. The parents left their kids to teach Math and reading not to do your work. Then you start complaining "Who the $#$ taught this to my son?" Well I have your answer, street, other kids, you name it.
I believe that when you have education, education should flow out of you, shows thanks to maturity and the way you react to certain issues, how that person handle him/herself in public, choice of words. There's not math, Science that teach you that. A month after I released this entry I ( I edit when I launch it in Spanish) I participated in a program to train to be better at customer services. It worked this way, we would read something then we would talk in open discussion about it. While walking home with a classmate she approached me and told me that I'm a little confusing, I talk too mature but I look young. Her surprise was when I revealed my age I'm indeed young. I didn't tell her the schools I went to, I didn't tell her of my training. I'm speaking about it here just to tell you the story. Education is something that start in the family, inside the house. If school was all the education we need, then my grand father would be the least educated man you would know of. He only finished 2nd grade and his family is extensive and well educated and knew how to socialize, if I he was alive you wont believe that man had so little school education he only learned to read and basic math and that was all. My father finished the sixth grade was awarded the eight grade but never attended for many issues not exactly because he wasn't looking to amount to something. But I assure you if I put my father in front of you in a suit and with a briefcase. As a matter of fact just his regular clothing, many successful educated people didn't use a suit at all (example A L Williams), the way he express himself, the way he handles himself you would think he's a college educated man. However he will show you his level of education when you assuming he's a college educated man start talking of stuff only someone with a level over High School would answer. My father hasn't get kicked out of a train, car, bar unlike this woman.
After reading this statement I believe the question here is, What's the real education is it in a school or a family? It doesn't matter where you graduate from if your family didn't educate you well you will be a complete animal. These two men I previously spoke about never knew the feeling of graduating but they learned to be disciplined, so much that when they got to school, they quickly absorbed a lot of information that they used for the rest of their lives. That woman up there is full of knowledge but zero education and consideration.
I started two paragraphs above saying: that education should blossom from you, people would see it. This is the one big problem with some "educated people" they see you working with transportation, parking, cleaning, etc and they tend to diminish you, they tend to talk too much crap about their skills, they tend to open their mouth too loud about the school they went to. By the way that should be on the resume not the conversation. I even joked on one comment on that article saying "I'm surprised this wasn't my cousin" hurts but I think there's one of those in every family. Someone capable of throwing you her resume during a family reunion. Imagine how uncomfortable is saying "hey is my cousin" that's embarrassing you publicly. The surprise for the doctor who insulted the cleaning lady, how meaningless she is. Two years later she get the shocker that the new sensation of the hospital is a lady that graduated with honors and happen to be the former cleaning lady. Or that the "meaningless" cleaning lady is retiring because she accomplished her goals, the reason she is retiring is because her children finished college and one is the new doctor in the hospital. Never judge nobody you never know how it would hit you later on. Education should be recognized. The fact that you are educated don't give you the right to literally throw up your resume on top of people. I believe is either insecurity (the need to show you are better than somebody else) or lack of education.
Some "educated people" feel the need to barrage their entire career and instead of helping you sometimes they prefer to try to put you in ridicule. Well is the same with these three army guys hiding with a AK47. One these guys was given one a tank, the other one placed on a Gatling, the other was seen incapable of operating a Warcraft equipment or even surviving. These two went on a rampage. Only that something failed, the guy in the tank ran into a mined camp, the guy on the Gatling gun got a grenade, while the one with the AK47 survived. Sometimes is not what you have what matters but how you use it. Have a lot of experience, "education" but don't know how to deal with people. You are dead meat. I wish I was working where this woman works just to enjoy the daily jokes on this video. I'm sorry I should be neutral. Anyway I would enjoy that, wont you? sometimes you think you are immune but in fact your are not, you are rotting. This is the problem I see with "educated people". You are educated? show you are educated, someone with less education would look at you and emulate you. I think that make a better society.
" After the altercation, the conductor came on the loudspeaker and reminded people to keep conversations quiet, "especially those people who went to Harvard or Yale or are from Westport."     Liz Goodwin Yahoo news
Yes you guess right, she was the joke of the whole train trip which is what happen when you try to ridicule people who have done nothing to you.  It hit you right back making you the laugh of an entire nation. In these Youtube times.
My uncle T. H. say all the times "I get to places, you see people oh I know this I know that, while I stand there like if I don't know nothing. I don't need to let people know what I know because they didn't ask me. I'm there just seeing people's knowledge acting like I don't know nothing and trying to see if there's anything else for me to learn. But if I'm asked to demonstrate what I know, run for cover." I believe I'm done with this entry. I don't think there's anything else to say.

By the way lady, quiet on the train PLEASE

Social Netwoking when too much is just too much: Setting your boundaries

A composite showing the most common networking sites.
Hello Everybody and than you for being such an awesome audience. I have to thank my followers from the United States and Russia who this month have poured into this blog although you didn't leave me any comment telling me that you was here I'm so glad you did stop by.
I get sick at times with people posting their entire day "GM FBF time to go to work" that's not problem, the problem is next same user 20 minutes later "Grrrr this stupid bus don't show up" two hours later after updating me on the hour finally got to work "grrr I really hate my boss why doesn't she die that $#^*" Why do I need to know that? Really why do you kill yourself that way updating me on the entire day I don't need that, seriously. But you can update on your whole day that's not my business it's not but is your and you better stick to reading this and you will understand my point.
This is just in, this happened after I published my post. Someone I'm getting to know Victoria T from Ohio, she might tell me that statement up there is a little wrong. Just a week after originally publishing this post, Victoria was talking on her wall that she was in tears about something that just happened at work. I know she's reading this and some of you reading this happen maybe know her. That is something you can definitely talk about. Yes she was in tears but she was happy that's why she was in tears and to be honest I would be in tears too. If she likes maybe she share with you in the comment section or not. But it was a very happy posting. I mean if your job don't make you happy, Why talk about it? why beat yourself up about it and get others involved? Shauna from Flushing couldn't say it better. "I better don't say too much because that mean I have to explain something to somebody and the less people I have to explain the better. Once I expose it out there I have people following on that."
My facebook friends think I don't use my account to post just to reply to their comments. In reality I use my myspace, fb and twitter daily and post a quote I found and like it weekly I even post encore of a good note. You know why? It's rough out there, people are mean, the situation is mean and I just want this. When I enter to my facebook I want to be greeted by something good. When I feel down I want to see a good line motivating me to better you know. So why would I post that my best friend quit on me? why would I post that I didn't meet the goal of sales this month? Why would I update on the bad bus service? I know you might want to vent out but you better be careful where you vent out because you might vent out on yourself, you might end up destroying someone's hopes, you might end up putting down someone, and worse convincing others that it can't be just because you couldn't. Why would I post that I had an argument with my girlfriend? why would I start an argument with her on facebook or twitter? OOOH that's a huge issue.
You see, I know some people who post all day long and I'm happy with that. My friend Liza L. from Brooklyn she posts on how great she's feeling, yes she's in pain in the doctor but still happy because she has a good man and friends by her always, how wonderful day she's spending with her grand kids. Those are welcoming postings one day when Liza is feeling bad and just depressed as she's she decides to stop by her facebook she might go back and see how wonderful life she has with her family and friends, she might actually feel better after reading her facebook. Liza I'm not picking on you alone hold on lol. You have to be very careful how you portrait yourself to friends. I know somebody who was going out with a great guy, this guy is a very hardworking man, good family man, good friend, good son, good brother. Well he left the girl because he didn't like how she was dancing, he hated the fact that his family is descent but this girl didn't get along with his best friend and worse she would dance like she wanted to have sex with every guy she danced with. Island dance she said that's normal in the island to dance like that. Well one of my girlfriend best friend is also from the island and she doesn't dance like that unless she's interested in the man. Turns out that someone sent her a message asking her if she wanted to have sex with him. Well she did worse she posted it on her wall that a guy just asked her to have sex with him. I guess my friend wasn't far from reality this girl wasn't the appropriate for him. Because to be honest I would not ask a lady to have sex with me because I know I'm getting rejected, the way she portrait herself is one of these easy girls who wont reject if a man ask them. Wanna have sex with me? As a man you know that a lady wont go to bed with you instantly you have to go through a process first of getting to know the woman, maybe meet first no sex and then let go and do it. To be honest most men are not into that so if you are a woman and the first message you better take a look on how you are portraying yourself on your social site.
Another thing that is upsetting actually disturbing is the lack of supervision from parents to their children specially girls. I have been on social networking starting with Hi5 in 2004 it's a shame seeing girls I know (I can't see those profiles unless I know the person and they invite me in sometimes can actually see some of the friend's profiles) I see these girls exposing themselves in very sensual positions like "all in four" for example prompting indecent and sexually explicit comments from men at times even 25 yo men hitting on 15 yo girls. If you are a teenager and you are receiving this kind of comments, let me ask you something. Is this how you see success? Do the woman you want to become ever show this behavior, Do you see someone of value other than just sexual? Will your "prince" approve of that? will a "prince" just fall in love with you because of your pictures? If this last one is correct I bet you have a guy coming in just for sex. Will your parents approve your behavior? Again some parents are corruptive since their life is messed up already, they are selfish and wont guide their children. Will your teachers and other female friends approve your behavior?
Talking about portraying. Many people get concerned about certain activities like Alcohol and stuff like that. Let me tell you about someone else. My friend my brother Jay A. This guy you check his facebook and most of his postings are related to a soccer game he's playing soon, coming out of work and calling up his buddies to watch a soccer game and have some drinks. Yeah think whatever you want but he's another one doing it good. He's a hardworking man, very good dear friend of mine, at least he doesn't expose alcohol consumption on HIS PAGE. He's ok for the same reasons as Liza life is not easy and at any down moment he might go to facebook and see how well he spent last weekend. You can post all day long but not everything, gez someone even posted being in the bathroom with stomach issues. There's life outside of Facebook and myspace and twitter and if you are posting every hour, every 20 minutes my friend you are missing on a big chunk of life. You are basically living online you better move there. Why do I need to know that you are sitting in the bathroom and can't... Ok that hasn't happen yet but there's something  I'm sure would start happening though if some crazy phone company decide to design a waterproof phone "taking a shower with my boo" Are you serious? I mean people put some limit already. Why in heaven you have your profile private when your life is public anyways? Don't you want some privacy?
A few weeks ago I was eating with a very close friend of mine; we were having a blast. Well since some people are crazy out of the blue we decided to check facebook. To my surprise someone in her network started this big argument with her husband. You see the back and forth these two going at each other. It was ridiculous. You know, I'm not the kind who like getting into people business, she's not that kind of people neither. BUT when you put your life out that easy, you will get people looking at your stuff you will get people waiting to see how this argument develop. I know I know why you don't argue outside of facebook because you have no audience. But there's one thing I hate and is getting my food cold because some knucklehead decided to argue on facebook. What happened to the old times when people would call or text each other and yell what you want them to die from, curse that person all the way to great grand children? Come on people get a phone if you don't have one. Do all this show "I'm gonna leave you #$#" and go play pools together next weekend and take pictures and post on facebook, then not only that go back together. If this happened in secret nobody knew I'm telling you that nobody would think bad about you. But imagine after that whole show you go back together. "look at these two why so much show man..." To be honest I am a happy man with Jenn but doesn't mean that we don't have our issues. We argue... but nobody know nobody needs to know all that and we both care to keep it to ourselves because we know you have your issues too and adding our is not a good idea. Plus once you put your issues out, you are calling for suggestions and unfortunately every suggestion is going to be different. I remember going through this big argument with Jenn. Two friends of my father learned of the issue actually four Advice from a Female "Jenn is a great woman you seem you lost her now. There are more people ahead." next female "Noooo don't hear her, call her take her some flowers and take her to eat and you will see how she will agree with everything you said" (I agreed with this one but didn't need it she called me and we fixed it over the phone. Now Jenn don't argue with me because I wont do this to fix it lol) Guy "No papa don't budge down don't call her in days and you will see she will call you asking you why you haven't call her which means she miss you" guy two "If broken is broken" Notice I didn't put it out there but my attitude in the house was enough to drive me crazy in a minute and get different opinions right away. It drove me crazy to tell the truth.
My facebook is a place of relaxation for me. I don't post my personal problems because nobody will solve them for me and I have nothing to explain to nobody other than my business, what I do for living. So I keep anything negative out of there, I find a good quote that inspired me something I post it. It's rough out there so when things go rough I feel like having a moment for me I go to my phone check my friends' updates I have a great network I hardly see anything negative there from my friends they are very outgoing people and very positive. Even if I stay small (currently 180 something friends) I prefer having good people with me. My facebook has to inspire me in tough moments is pretty much a book of quotes I take with me everywhere. What's the point of being a victim? wait that could be another blog entry in the future. Like Liza, Jay, Victoria they refuse to show up as a victim, they rather inspire some kind of hope on someone, bring a smile on someone's face. In the case of Twitter I had to remove everybody I had. That's another site where people just post garbage calling women by the b-word women trash talking. I don't need that drama. So far I'm following guys like my two business managers, Les Brown, Tony Robbins, John C Maxwell, one of the big leaders in my business and that's all. I don't need negative people with me. I want to grow I want to be somebody, do something special with my life and drama queens and kings wont get me there. Posting my private life out wont get me there, and reading people's private life will just entertain me from what I'm trying to accomplish. If want all I explained (success, be someone special, do something special) and you happen to have drama people around cut them off even if is your childhood friend. I let go 12 contacts from my facebook last week because these were dead ended people I don't need those. I'm dead serious. People like that only bring distractions.

Thanks for reading and I speak to you in a pair of weeks.

Your attitude and Success

for more on this topic visit healthcompareguide.com

Hello everybody I thank you for being a loyal audience. This is my first entry for this year and I'm thankful to have you all here reading me it was a long absence but things happen.
The other night I was playing some video games with my brother. He? well me and him grew up together we were the closest in height in the house. I have 3 brothers but he was the one willing to go with me and play baseball, let's go and try to play some basketball. I have two others but one was always sick to go and be crazy like us and the other one was a baby we can't take him to play baseball with us come on. He was a cool guy we would have a lot of fun, very respectful kid, I hardly saw him doing homeworks and somehow this kid always did average in school. However he started to hang out with the wrong crowd I say. He brought in good values we didn't have. I used to thank God for the food but by myself we never sat on the table to pray and thank God for the food. Surprisingly now I'm doing it that's really good. But at the same time my brother is yelling at everybody,  saying horribly tasting jokes like "hey piece of $#$ how you doing?" that's terrible there.
Well the other night we were playing NBA 2K11 and well I have a bad controller PS3 please check your controllers all of them are messing up the same way. I go for a dunk and the player end up passing the ball in mid air. Most times that would result in turnover, or I would go for a dunk and it would start marking a play I never heard of and now I have to execute it and unfortunately the play ends with a dunk I do it and is 24 seconds. Add that the fact that I'm talking to my girlfriend. He was winning by 18 points with 3 minutes left and one of my best players injured thanks to attempting to make a pass in the air. Why did he started to jack 3 after 3 after 3 it seemed like a 3pts contest. He won by 40 because my defense was bad thank to the controller. I stood up and said I'm not playing with you no more. His answer? "come on bro I haven't been here since Thursday and that's what you give me" what I said to my pal, my gaming buddy, my best friend was even more surprising "Damn seems like it was yesterday that you was here" he was actually out for 4 days.
What I'm asking you now is where are you? are you the one that people can't wait to see you that people love to be around or you are like my brother you are out for four days and seem like if you left yesterday? If you are planning to be a happy person, have a lot of friends, if you are planning to be the go to person, if you are planning to go in business you better make sure you are the one people can't wait to see. A L Williams said that nobody like to be around a complaining cry baby. Nobody want to be around someone with a bad attitude. That's true you gotta make sure to have the attitude that if you go out in business the whole world want to follow you. You have to make sure that if you go away, people miss you. Make sure if you go away for a minute people don't exhale and say "thanks God"
But how you do it? make sure you have a great attitude, make sure to be excited about anything even the $200 dollars check you are getting Friday. Make sure you are a happy person that raise curiosity and people will come to you just to see what are you happy about. In some cases they think you are high on something or something like that. One day I think last month one of my former schoolmate (sorry I don't have your name here) posted this on her facebook. I completely agreed with her and so did 19 who clicked like and other 9 who commented including myself.
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. - Buddha
Well guys to be honest with you this quote better fit another blog entry coming up. But it helps reminding that you have to be happy in order to succeed.
We all know that you can't be in business by yourself. Business is nothing but a happy person with some products and services to provide. Sometimes like in my case besides the products and services you have a business opportunity to offer. Remember what I said about always be happy? about always be excited about something? people would never know of your business because they will never approach you or let you approach them if your attitude suck. You smell bad, you don't dress properly, you have profane language, you walk by life like if someone owe you and forgot and worse you forgot how much. My friend you will never make it. "Ok Victor I learned that but I've been trying and it feel fake" Bill Whittle a great guy, very successful man in my business said "do it anyway, it would feel weird in the beginning it would feel fake in the beginning but soon you find your groove you put your own stuff and guess what? wouldn't be that fake no more" make it your own, mean it "well Victor I have been trying for 2 weeks and doesn't work" well i tell you what my friend, go and plant a corn seed and wait for it to grow and reproduce. It wont happen right? Nothing happen overnight, success is not meant to be overnight. During this absence I have been working hard on my business, I have been reading books, attending meetings and events. You have to cultivate yourself in order to succeed. "well Victor I'm a grocery owner and all I have to do is open the door and people walk in" Awesome my friend good for you. Now go and yell to a couple of your employees and then yell to some customers and see if you have happy employees tomorrow. Also would help to keep a picture of that customer you yelled at and see if that customer ever come back. You have to have a good attitude at all times even if your business sell itself.
The other day I was riding the bus in Brooklyn. I come in talk to the driver it was the first stop I was going to Kings Plaza mall. I talk to the bus driver, also spoke to him about what I'm doing. The bus starts, three stops later after the driver had this smile he was going home after this trip and luckily he would finish it in good mood. An uncoupled couple comes in the guy first he swipes twice and the woman follow. The driver wants to know who is he paying for since there was a mother with 3 teenage kids she paid four times. The driver wants to know who he paid for and this is the conversation
Guy: "oh no I'm not with her"
Driver: "ok sir thank you but you paid twice, either she pays her fare to me or pays to you because you paid twice"
Guy: "who the &((* you think you are to tell me what to do? this is my wife and you better don't mess with her"
Driver: "Look guys I want you to respect my bus, this is business, you want to play your game? ok but outside my bus"
.....
That couple can't make new friends other than friends similar to them. You can't help it, some people just have a nasty attitude and would want to take you out of sync at any point. You have to be prepared to face them. In that case the bus driver trying to be all professional he ended up being influenced by the perverse couple and he ended up yelling at his replacement too. You have to be strong and counter all kinds of attacks to your tranquility. because there would be people trying to take you our of concentration, there would be people trying to distract you. Certainly you have to keep certain kind of people away if you want to be successful, you have to be willing to say no to certain people if you want to become someone meaningful. Stay focused and you will see it happening, welcome rejections, welcome difficulties, dance on the face of adversity and you will get stronger. Smile to life and success will find it way to you.

Thanks for reading and I see you in two weeks

Give up or Try again? Quit or continue?

I think many of us are faced with this question everyday of our life. The question is what would you do? What do you do when every odd seems to be against you, when the universe seem to confabulate against you?
I am a strong believer that all of us have a purpose in life and all of us have the opportunity to either find that purpose or give up and end up a loser. See I also believe that there's enough riches in the country, there's enough riches in the world for each of us to live good. But haven't you ask yourself why do we have guys like Donald Thrump, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs. Three extremely rich guys who obviously have a system to put people to work for them. Then we have Art Williams compared to these guys why is this guy special? Well just a football coach, who saw the need to create a company to help people who were overlooked by those big financial institutions, he is not as rich as those mentioned before but definitely a big name. He gave away his football for a new passion.
However these guys all have something in common, something that not many of us have; and that, is attitude I'm not talking about the attitude of being rude to people no, is the thirst to do something great, is the attitude of saying this is my ground I'm doing my thing I don't care how many times I fail, is the faith of doing what you believe in despite all difficulties remaining grounded to what you believe in.
I had the opportunity of reading the book "Thrump 101" where Donald Thrump talks about how much in debt he got I believe was several billions while you worry about couple of thousands. He believed he could make profits from his business, and he did he is one of the greatest name when it comes to real state. Steve Jobs started a great company Apples computers, however he got fired from his own company. How in heaven can you get fired from your own company? See, he had two choices try again hopefully he gets fired from the new company he creates next or sit down and be a loser tell everyone how close he was from making it to the big leagues and got bumped. What did he do? According to an article published in success magazine couple of months ago he created a new company, then created Pixar, pixar was so huge that bough apple computers when it was about to crash down. Well after the first Ipod you guys know how big apple became. I had no idea what apple computers was until I saw an Ipod. Now I believe they do everything with I including Igo, Idid nah just joking. But are you seeing the trend? These people don't give up they just come back stronger every time they fall. Gates? well if you are a windows user like me, you already know he left college to start Microsoft computers. Why? well maybe he though now was his time he couldn't wait, he had faith in what he wanted to accomplish.
Williams he saw himself in a tough spot when his father died leaving his mother with little life insurance benefits, he found out his family could have done better if they knew a little secret shared only by those with money. He found a company that did exactly that and since he couldn't do it for his family, he did say it to other families. He though of a system he developed that system on that company but the company failed, moved to another one but he found out his system wasn't a fit there and others were making money based on his and his people's efforts. Learning he had a strong passion powered by what happened to his family about 12 years before and noticing his passion didn't diminished a bit after going through so much in other companies he started his own company with his own system, his ideas, his people his personal experiences and very importantly his drive, determination and passion. Obviously he had faith in what he was doing, he though he was doing the best for others, but the other companies were pissed because their clients were running to Mr. Williams. He got a bunch of lawsuits from these others but guess what? He kept on going, his purpose was stronger than what was going on around.
John C. Maxwell in a recent issue of Success Magazine talks about two kinds of people the splatters and the bouncers which one are you. The splatter that when something wrong happen you stay down afraid of going back up, afraid of doing it again. Or the bouncer that no matter what happens you will always always look for a way to go back on top, have a burning desire to try it again.

And by the way if you are worrying about failing, Check what one of the most outstanding athletes had to say.
“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
Many of you know Michael Jordan for his sneakers, but for those old enough to remember him playing the guy was an ace, some kind like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony well you get the idea. Yet he knows that missing shots is part of the game. Ted Williams hit over 400 3 of his 19 seasons 344 for his career. He's is considered one of the best hitters in baseball. Yet he failed more than what he succeeded. If he took a thousand turns at bat he only hit 344 of them which mean he failed 656 times. Coloner Sanders was turned down by 1009 restaurants before one last restaurant accepted and became the KFC we know, We might not know of the light bulb if Thomas Edison gave up after losing most of his fortune in a bunch of inventions that failed. I can tell you of so many almost defeat then super success that I read about I can write a whole 10 pages on that.
What I'm saying is, if there's possibility of success after near failure, what is stopping you? Why don't you give yourself a chance to something great?
